A seminar was held at the NUST School of Health Sciences in collaboration with the Atta-ur-Rahman
School of Applied Biosciences (ASAB) on November 20, 2023. The distinguished guest speaker, Dr. Jaleel
Miyan, a Neuroscientist and President of the Society for Research into Hydrocephalus and Spina Bifida,
shared insights into the critical role of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the development and function of the
cerebral cortex. Dr. Miyan’s expertise, as highlighted by his credentials, positioned him as an esteemed
authority on the subject matter.
Dr. Jaleel Miyan’s presentation delved into the intricate relationship between cerebrospinal fluid and the
cerebral cortex, elucidating the pivotal role played by CSF in both the developmental processes and
functional aspects of the brain. As a Senior Lecturer in Neuroscience, Dr. Miyan brought a wealth of
knowledge and experience to the seminar, enriching the academic discourse on this specialized topic.

dedicated team from the Anatomy Department NSHS, who actively contributed to the organization and
