CTU Virtual Lecture at NSHS | International Academic Collaboration

The Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, NUST School of Health Sciences (NSHS), in collaboration with the NUST International Office and the ASEAN and International Office of Cebu Technological University (CTU), Philippines, successfully organized a virtual lecture on 19 December 2025, titled:

“Integrating Sustainable Development Goals into Home Economics Education.”

The session featured Dr. Daisy L. Obiso, Associate Professor, College of Education, Cebu Technological University, as the distinguished speaker. Dr. Obiso shared valuable insights on integrating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into Home Economics education. She shared innovative approaches for embedding the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into Home Economics education.

The session was led and facilitated by Dr. Aisha Jalil, Associate Professor, Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics (HND), NSHS, fostering an engaging and interactive learning environment.

An active Q&A session provided students with an excellent opportunity to interact directly with Dr. Obiso, promoting meaningful academic exchange and global learning.

These lectures play a vital role in developing the interdisciplinary knowledge of Nutrition and Dietetics students, as exposure to related fields of study is essential in today’s world for enhancing their employability, adaptability, and growth as multi-skilled, future-ready professionals.
