Summary

All praise for Almighty Allah, the Creator and Sustainer of all. I am Dr. Amber Zaidi, Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at the NUST School of Health Sciences (NSHS), National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). I graduated from Rawalpindi Medical College and began my academic career as a Demonstrator at Shifa College of Medicine. In 2015, I joined the National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS), where I served as faculty while completing both my MPhil and PhD degree in Biochemistry at Army Medical College. Over a decade at Army Medical College, I was actively engaged in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, including MBBS, BDS, Nursing, and MPhil Biochemistry students. Alongside my academic responsibilities, I developed extensive expertise in biomedical research, with hands-on experience in DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, RT-PCR, DNA sequencing, Cell culture, and Western blot analysis through training at the Centre for Research in Experimental and Applied Medicine (CREAM) Lab, Pak Emirates Military Hospital (PEMH), NUMS Postgraduate Laboratory (PWD), and Armed Forces Bone Marrow Transplant Centre (AFBMTC). I also have the honor of wining research grant in IRF funding of NUMS as PI during my PhD research work. Since joining the prestigious institute of NUST in year 2023, I have been committed to advancing excellence in medical education, mentoring, translational research, and scientific innovation. My research has been published in journals within the Nature Portfolio, and I have had the privilege of presenting my work at the Surgeon General International Conference (SGIC) and Biennial International Conference of the Pakistan Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (PSBMB) organized by The University of Punjab. I remain dedicated to contributing to NUST's vision of becoming a global leader in medicine and health sciences while mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals and researchers.
