Professor Dr. Noureen Hafeez, Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology NSHS, is an accomplished medical educator specializing in Forensic Medicine. She is the first female Fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) in the discipline of Forensic Medicine. With over 16 years of teaching experience, she has contributed in training of hundreds of medical students through traditional as well as adopting modern interactive teaching approaches, like Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Case-Based Learning (CBL), tailored to train and enable students to get through real-world medicolegal and ethical challenges in medical practice. Dr. Noureen Hafeez has also recently developed and introduced a specialized medical jurisprudence course for the NUST Law School for final year students. This course seamlessly blends the forensic, legal and ethical insights relevant to practice of medicine and law under both Pakistani and international contexts. Besides her teaching commitments and mentoring of students, she is contributing as a member of the Faculty Board of Studies, Curriculum & Assessment, and Accreditation committees. She is the focal person of Student Co-Curricular Club NSHS. Her research publications and active role in various committees underscores her commitment to advancing forensic and legal medicine education at NSHS.
