Professor Dr Shabana Ali is working as a Professor and Head of the Department, Pharmacology & Therapeutics. With extensive expertise in both teaching and research, she is a dedicated faculty member with a robust focus on integrated system-based curriculum. She is committed to fostering a learning environment that emphasizes critical thinking, ethical considerations, and hands-on research. She employs a variety of teaching methods including case-based learning, simulation exercises, and interactive lectures, designed to engage students and improve their clinical reasoning skills. Highly committed to student success, her mentorship programs aim at fostering independent learning and career development among students. Professor Dr Shabana Ali, received the IGT& E Fund and NUST merit scholarship for her MPhil research and studies (2005-2007). She has worked on a research collaboration with esteemed international research group, Oxford University and has yielded international publications. She engages in interdisciplinary research and has received research grants. She is the first qualified and the only approved (FCPS, Pharmacology) CPSP supervisor in Pakistan. She has supervised both MPhil and FCPS (Pharmacology) post graduate trainees.
