Spreading Awareness, Saving Lives: Breast Cancer Awareness Session at Mehrabadi Community School
As part of Pinktober 2025, the NUST School of Health Sciences (NSHS), Department of Community Medicine, in collaboration with the NUST Community Service Department, organized an impactful awareness session on 3rd October at Mehrabadi Community School, Islamabad. The event drew the participation of more than 100 students and families from the local community.

The session focused on the risk factors, early screening, and prevention of breast cancer, equipping participants with knowledge that could make a life-changing difference. Faculty members and healthcare professionals engaged the audience through presentations and an interactive Q&A session, ensuring active participation and meaningful discussion.

To strengthen the message, pink ribbons, flyers, and educational materials were distributed, symbolizing solidarity and commitment to women’s health. The initiative was warmly appreciated by the community as a significant step towards early awareness and improved well-being.
