HND Students Lead the Way in Sustainability at “EcoSynergy: Green Trail to SDG 12”

Students from the BS Human Nutrition & Dietetics (HND) program actively participated in ECOSYNERGY: Take the Green Trail to SDG 12, held on 8 December 2025. The event promoted environmental awareness and practical action toward sustainable living on campus.

The program featured a campus sustainability walk, a trail clean-up drive, and a series of interactive activities focused on responsible consumption and waste reduction. A key highlight of the event was the formal launch of the Glass Bottle Initiative at the NBS ground, marking a significant step toward reducing single-use plastics and encouraging eco-friendly practices at NUST.

The event concluded with an inspiring address by Dr. Rizwan Riaz, Pro-Rector RIC, who emphasized cultivating a sustainable campus culture and recognized the pivotal role of student-led environmental stewardship.
Additionally, Amna Shehzad was awarded a prize for answering the highest number of general knowledge questions, adding a celebratory note to the day.
