NSHS Shines at RMU Surgical Olympiad
-Students of 2nd year MBBS shone at the RMU Surgical Olympiad 2025 at Rawalpindi Medical University, on 27th July 2025. Team NSHS was represented by Nidal Falak Amin, M. Huzaifah Qureshi, Amna Batool and Hafsa Asif. NSHS secured 2nd Position in ATLS and 3rd Position in Surgical Spelling Bee.
The Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) module was designed to evaluate participants’ proficiency in trauma assessment and management under simulated emergency conditions. The competition was conducted in two rounds.
The Surgical Spelling Bee was a competitive module designed to test participants’ recall and familiarity with complex medical and surgical terminology. Conducted over multiple timed elimination rounds, the module combined linguistic accuracy with clinical knowledge. The team also successfully reached the final rounds of the ‘Surgical Quiz’ module, which tested core concepts of anatomy, surgical instruments and clinical correlates.
