World Hepatitis Day
-On the occasion of World Hepatitis Day 2024, Mr. Cary James, CEO of The World Hepatitis Alliance, UK, visited the NUST School of Health Sciences. The session on Hepatitis started with the opening remarks of the Principal NSHS, Prof. Dr. Rizwan Ashraf, on the situation of Hepatitis in Pakistan.
Mr. Cary James discussed the global efforts for the control of Hepatitis. Prof. Yasir Waheed, Head of Research Department at NSHS, discussed the prevalence of hepatitis in key populations. Students and faculty members actively participated in the discussion on situation of hepatitis in Pakistan.
