Testimonials
"In our land, when a child begins to dream, they see two paths: one towards the noble pursuit of MBBS and the other towards the proud halls of NUST, and NSHS has made it possible for both dreams to converge into one brilliant reality. From the outset, the school has been dedicated to fostering a supportive and enriching environment for its students, highlighted by early clinical exposure for first-year students that connects theoretical knowledge to practical application, making lessons relevant and motivating. Additionally, the introduction of gamification in the learning process transforms complex subjects, like human anatomy, into enjoyable, interactive experiences that enhance retention. The approachable faculty, especially the heads of departments, create a supportive atmosphere where students feel comfortable seeking guidance. Moreover, the institution actively seeks student feedback through weekly sessions, demonstrating a genuine commitment to our success and well-being. NSHS also boasts a vibrant campus life, offering a range of extracurricular activities that help us unwind and connect outside the classroom. Overall, my experience at NSHS has been incredibly rewarding, combining early clinical exposure, innovative learning methods, a lively campus atmosphere, and supportive faculty, all of which make my medical education truly exceptional. I am grateful to be part of this institution and excited for the future as I continue my journey to become a healthcare professional."

"I am a Professor of Medicine at the University of Rochester in Rochester NY, USA. I have taught medical students and trainees over here continents for over three decades. This gives me a good perspective of how medical education has evolved and adapted to technological advancements and learning methodologies. I had the good fortune of visiting NSHS prior to its inception and meet its faculty as well as tour the excellently appointed basic science departments. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the NSHS curriculum is aligned with the best current teaching methodologies. Its integrated curriculum integrates the basic sciences with clinical case discussions and emphasizes self-directed and small group case-based learning as well as interpersonal and communication skills. Case studies emphasize common medical conditions which illustrate important scientific principles. NSHS curriculum has been integrated horizontally and vertically–-vertically between basic and clinical sciences. The traditionally taught curriculum in Pakistan medical schools has been substituted to permit integration between basic sciences and clinical sciences. NSHS also exists in an unparalleled environment NUST’s multifaceted research institution. This gives it an edge that perhaps no other medical school possesses in Pakistan. The integration of research and teaching in medical education offers numerous benefits, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills in students. Institutions worldwide have recognized the significance of this nexus and have implemented initiatives to link teaching with discipline-based research, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration. NSHS intends to capitalize on this strength and gives its students a research mindset that will serve them well for the rest of their careers. Given all these strengths, my own son decided to enroll in NSHS and we could not have been more satisfied with his experience."

"As a physician practicing, abroad, I was absolutely astounded by my visit to the NUST School of Health Sciences (NSHS). I had the privilege of meeting the faculty, and I was deeply impressed by their enthusiasm and expertise. These instructors are not just there to teach conventionally; they are mentors who genuinely care about nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals. Their innovative teaching strategies, including gamified learning and case-based learning (CBL), and not to mention exclusive mentoring sessions not only help the students express their concerns and share personal issues with mentors but are a breath of fresh air that provide students with a hands-on, yet engaging approach to medicine. This modern, student-centered approach is exactly what the field needs to produce not just competent doctors, but true leaders and seven star doctors in healthcare. In every way, NSHS stands out as a beacon of progress in medical education in Pakistan. As a parent, I couldn't ask for more but be assured that my child is in safe hands."

"Here's Haseeb Hassan,First year MBBS student at NSHS. The vibrant campus life fosters a sense of community, where students are constantly encouraged to grow not only academically but also personally. The modern teaching methods at NSHS, blending theory with extensive hands-on experience, have truly set it apart from traditional approaches. With a curriculum that emphasizes a more practical and patient-centered approach, I've gained invaluable insights and skills that prepare us for real-world medical challenges. I was lucky enough to be a part of team that visited FGPC as I got a chance to gain first hand clinical experinces under the supervision of heads of different departmemts. From state-of-the-art labs to interactive classes and collaborative learning, every aspect of NSHS promotes a comprehensive learning experience. I’m grateful to be part of a university that is so dedicated to advancing healthcare education and supporting its students at every step.I personally Would recommend that the growing buds of this nation foster under the umbrella of NSHS and be a part of something grand in the near future."
