Program Educational Objectives

Graduates of the BS Human Nutrition and Dietetics program will be able to:

  1. Apply foundational scientific knowledge of human nutrition, dietetics, and related disciplines to understand and address nutritional issues across diverse populations.
  2. Integrate current scientific knowledge and research to develop practical, evidence-based dietary and lifestyle recommendations.
  3. Utilize statistical and digital tools to assess and interpret dietary patterns, nutrient intakes, and health outcomes at individual and population levels.
  4. Exhibit entrepreneurial, leadership, and management skills applicable to nutrition practice, healthcare organizations, and business settings.
  5. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to promote nutrition education, disease management and health promotion.
  6. Demonstrate social responsibility, empathy, compassion, and ethical integrity in individual and professional capacities.

  1. Obtain evidence-based clinical nutrition knowledge to deliver appropriate medical nutrition therapy in clinical and hospital settings that enables people to make appropriate lifestyle choices
